last night i watched "Gomorrah" a crazy independent movie about the mafia in Italy. andrew read the book and we wanted to watch the movie to see how crazy it would actually be and man is it nuts! just really interesting to see how other people are living just across the pond, so to speak, from us. and this is all recent stuff, not like 10 or 15 years ago, but NOW. it somewhat interweaves a bunch of stories together that are all related to the mafia. just sad to see whole groups of people killing each other, dealing with drugs, and mistreating employees. its a very interesting movie and i would recommend it to anyone who is interested in Italy, the mafia, foreign films, and who are looking for a good sad story. here's the trailer:
